--- tags: journal date: 2026-08-02 --- - Been curating some games and animations for the *[[Flashpoint Archive]]*. Mostly explicit works, and some open source projects I’ve discovered. - Whatever it is, I do find it interesting to see how certain [[Furry fandom|furry]] sub-cultures dealt with *[[Adobe Flash]]* at the time. Not a whole lot has changed, it seems. - And maybe stumble upon some drama. uh... I’d like to forget about it. - On archival, there does seem to be a shift towards obscure content of lately. I am much late to the party from before 2020, so the popular gaming portals are already checked. But for a specific sub-culture, to say the least, might not been thoroughly checked by other curators. There are some other ‘specialists’ in their field, I know that. But open source projects strangely don’t seem to be curated as much. Curation is a bit of a two-step process: collect and annotate. For explicit media, this can become rather numbing when trying to figure out tags, or what species a character is. *Flashpoint* doesn’t have imageboard levels of tagging, but it can still feel overwhelming. Given the verification backlog, I’m not sure if I’m doing it right.
