# Autofs

- I use this to automount SD cards.
  - In /etc/auto.master: ```/media /etc/auto.removable --timeout=2,sync```
  - In /etc/auto.removable: ```sd -fstype=vfat,uid=$my_user_id :/dev/mmcblk0p1```
- As of [[2020-12-25]] this no longer works.
  - Instead I just use fstab and mount/unmount as needed:
  - 64gb
    - UUID=6139-3034 /mnt/sd   exfat noauto,x-systemd.automount,uid=UID_HERE,user
  - 32gb
    - UUID=03BE-BBB1 /mnt/sd   exfat noauto,x-systemd.automount,uid=UID_HERE,user
  - An alternative is to set up both systemd/udev rules, seems like hassle right now.
