PSA: I moved to [[fractal]] as my matrix client and rebooted my security passphrase and the combination has solved essentially every issue I had with matrix. if you have experienced issues with keys and history in the past, I suggest you try doing the same. rebooting your security passphrase will likely also work directly on element (I still use element on mobile).
