Синдикация или кросс-постинг — акт копирования постов с одной платформы на другую.

Сообщество https://indieweb.org выделяет несколько моделей синдикации. Я расскажу про них. У каждой модели есть смешная аббревиатура, конечно же.

PESOS (Publish Elsewhere, Syndicate (to your) Own Site) — Пиши где-нибудь, синдицируй на свой сайт.

POSSE (Publish (on your) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere) — Пиши на своём сайте, синдицируй куда-нибудь.

PASTA (Publish Anywhere, Save To (private) Archive) — Пиши где угодно, сохраняй в личный архив.

PESETAS (Publish Elsewhere, Syndicate Everything To A Silo) — Пиши где угодно, синдицируй на силос.

Jupiter is a web-based feed aggregator using a river of news paradigm. What does that mean? Feed subscriptions are stored in a file (an OPML file to be precise), so adding a subscription currently involves me editing a file via SSH on the server. That’s not ideal, but then again, I’m fine with growing the feed collection slowly. A cron job goes through all the feeds on a regular bases and assembles a static HTML file with the 100 latest items, with at most 4 items per feed. Anything that’s older is dropped. No unread item count! If it’s gone, it’s gone.
