Can you hear me?
(clears throat)
Sometimes I just ask myself, what do I usually do? Well, the answer to this, it depends. Like, I constantly lose interest and gain interest of things. Like, oh, then I kind of get burnt out by it.
For what? I just programmed for the fun of it. Like, I get the fun out of learning and actually studying the things and applying that to my work.
The biggest reason why I don’t vibe color is because it just takes the fun out of it. I already said that a dozen times before.
then I think it’s worth reiterating.
[clears throat]
I don’t know. I try to make things fun. Online ed-ever modifications or extensions usually involve adding noise to doing certain actions. The reason why I love Visual Studio’s code accessibility features is that they usually incorporate sounds.
Some feedback is a big part in making things fun.
It does seem rather eerie to me that as of recent releases, I have not seen any updates related to accessibility in Visual Studio Code.
As of late, it just seems like it’s all related to AI. And now the interface is being this new AI control interface. And I just don’t like how it looks. And it just doesn’t seem all that useful to me when I’m not even paying for Copilot.
It seems like some programmers only see code as a means of an end. I’m not like that.
When you try to see code as just any other prose, you write it, you make it understandable. You condense it, you rewrite it again just to get the point across the other people. You add documentation to the code. Intentional system design and accountability. And even I try to make it as such to be like prose by adding spaces in between capital letters.
So when it comes to a game, which I don’t know in what merit has been listed, but it was based in Adobe Flash, developed in Adobe Flex. I just think that maybe creating in the back anything else, just look at it as a disservice to it. Even though it was clearly pretty scrappy from live singing.
I want to add, or at least over-engineer the backend. That people don’t usually care when their scrappy project just doesn’t work for the foreseeable future. Some people do, and that would include me. And when I are kind of this game in 2020, I just didn’t want it to just die off. Eventually, I got it working again on Flashpoint in 2024.
But as you do the central things, you start to get something very right. It’s not only you weren’t the one with a lot of the game back then. You’re just someone who just preserved it.
At that point, I just start laughing myself. Should I just make a new game based on it and just do my own things with it? Maybe. Maybe. Where’s her son? That that might just be for nostalgia. Some people just wish for a certain game to come back and, oh, that’s what I’m doing.
I think it’s just more beyond making a back-end. It’s more so allowing community to form. As I’m taking about ways of regenerating, one possible benefit is allowing moderation, but I don’t want it to be more than just moderation and let people govern the game.
It’s stuck a little bit more beyond just letting the original Swiss flying work once again.
I mean, I thought the main plan. I’m surprised it was available.
then there’s going to be a recurring cost. And like, I’m not sure how long I’ll be able to keep up with this. And like, I don’t have any other projects that people fall in love with. So what are they doing? It’s a weird thing because, well, for what? I’m like, I know what else works best finished, but let’s not mention that.
I think I probably should have done something again, because this asset for people to just share their wellness. I don’t know if people would even play with the creation on Flashlight, right?
So my canvas is pretty personal. There’s some things that I wouldn’t want to show anyone but myself. I would have to censor myself if I had to do that. Well, let me ask you for too much.
I mean should I commit to that? I’ve been doing all the things and I’ve cracked up in front of you now and it’s one of those things. And no it’s because I’m still finding things out. It’s the reason I have to say why I’m doing this in the first place and there’s a couple of values that I’ve gathered from this.
(screaming)
My database class just kind of involves just minimizing how many times the indexes are just used in general. I developed this region system because I wanted to minimize the use of indexes as much as possible because I just thought, well, indexes are the ones that basically kill my project off the first place. But I just think that, well, there’s not that many tiles to begin with, even in a large spread out area that if you multiply this, I’m just thinking, well, it’s actually not even the indexes that will kill this project off. It’s just going to be the blobs that are indexed individually either way, no matter how I’m going to do it, either by regions or per document, I am over engineering the hell out of it. And I should just resort to maybe making an archive format to keep things in cold storage should I have to.
Then there’s some features that become eerily out of scope for the project, like at total integration. The main motivation for this is, well, people would just want to express themselves in a single player basis, just like in the Flashpoint version. And, well, there’s another thing we could allow for this, which is letting people just express themselves whatever they want, whatever the way they want to. explicit content or not. And with labeling and whatnot, like very minimal moderation is to be involved. We only involve ourselves if there’s like hate, symbolism, or utter hateful speech that would not fly anywhere in the internet.
And, you know, just let the players actually own their content for once instead of, you know, living, having a live in a database. That’s my other motivation for the app protocol support. But we are also having to cache it in a server. So how we deal this without loading our servers with spam, because if it’s going to be less moderated, how we account for abuse? (whooshing)
Views comes in many forms and it’s weird because I know people are gonna submit their most explicit, maybe even illegal imagery onto the canvas and with moderation, even though it’s gonna work, they’re going to be impacted because they have to see it. I think we could probably do some automation, just have some accounts that are automated and just have their own models which would make the judgment and maybe escalate it to humans whenever necessary. You know, photosynthesis and stuff. I think it’s overkill for what is basically a few colors that nobody might want to hack, but the possibility is there and I’m just thinking about over-engineering a lot of things for this exact reason.
And what? Just to have a few dragons urinating with their dicks visible. What else?
I mean it’s because of me being asexual. To best describe it, asexual people are mostly alike mountain goats.
I shouldn’t explain it too much, but it’s still kind of a factor in deciding all these reasons and why such a system should be built the way it is and how it’s governed because I am making a lot of rules and I am incredibly biased.
People shouldn’t be punished for just being themselves for one.
However, when we decide on systems and build those systems that enforce governance and allow players to moderate, we can actually add some policies that would make it more same committee, such as outline and punishing griefing, you know, the type of violations that would separate a community of poor and create alienation within
It would just basically be a free build server in a Minecraft classic server, essentially. It has worked and always will be. And if that’s a system that I’m going to replicate fully one to one with this crazy canvas backend, it’s like, well, just a backend, we can govern a lot of things and make it reasonable and same.
You don’t have to touch the client’s code at all.
I actually get the appeal.
that while working alone, I imagine myself in a community that I don’t have to do things entirely by myself, that people might see the leftover traces of my scribbles and try to fill in the backgrounds or make something else, whatever they like, whatever fits. And we don’t have to worry about bad actors because they’re handled, their grief is reverted when the moderators Notice.
You know, worrying about getting your artwork damaged is the last thing that should even be thought of. We want to make that thought non-existent.
if people try they’ll get punished for it because we know that people do get punished for it and how does it feel so good when they do get punished?
I’m saying it’s not for the next week.
Oh…
Yeah, just make things fun again. Just remove any worry and carry on the world. Just replace it with fun. Just let people have their fun.
And if we can incorporate socialization, it’s definitely the better.
Because of late, I’m pretty lonesome, because I just work alone of lately.
And well, I find a lot in collaborative coding. Even though I don’t do it as much, it’s very fun.
