I just logged into [[Bluesky]] again after four months and it’s looking pretty exciting.#gohttps://bsky.app if you want to register. I have six invite codes recently, please let me know if you need one.My priority for this long weekend is still to try to set up a Fediverse <-> Bluesky bridge. I have a few pointers to dig in the direction of, will report back.
@jonny@neuromatch.social@jonny I found lots of interesting posts of yours about [[Bluesky]] in the Agora now that I’m taking another look at it :)What’s your current take on the underlying protocols and the network as it’s evolving? I’m looking at setting up a Fediverse <-> Bluesky bridge currently
[[pinhole]]: https://fietkau.software/pinhole> is a tiny single-user [[Bluesky]]β[[ActivityPub]] one-way bridge. It can be self-hosted to provide a mirror bot for exactly one Bluesky profile followable by exactly one ActivityPub (e.g. Mastodon) account.
@j12t@pluralistic in short, IIUC:"[[Bluesky]] lacks the one federated feature that is absolutely necessary for me to trust it: the ability to leave Bluesky and go to another host and continue to talk to the people I’ve entered into community with there. (…) A federation of multiple servers, each a peer to the other, has been on Bluesky’s roadmap for as long as I’ve been following it, but they haven’t (yet) delivered it."
