Switching to laptop [[sila]], this way I can work on the carpet next to Lady Burup (interlacing meditation, yoga).

The single screen also aids [[focus]] sometimes.

Do you find that there’s a difference in effectiveness between films with a supernatural focus & films that are more grounded?

I tend to find grounded films (like, true-crime-adjacent ones about serial killers or other totally-human figures) hit β€œtoo close to home” & are as likely to worsen my anxiety as to help it β€” particularly when the conflict leans toward people yelling at each other (which bothers me a lot more than stylized gore). However, I’ve heard a lot of people claim that supernatural- centric films are too hard to engage with, and I’ve heard some people claim that true crime is specifically calming for women on the grounds that it deals with more realistic fears.

GTD horizons of focus§

  • The 6 Horizons of Focus

  • Ground: Calendar/actions

  • Horizon 1: Projects

  • Horizon 2: Areas of focus and accountability

  • Horizon 3: One- to two-year goals and objectives

  • Horizon 4: Three- to five-year vision

  • Horizon 5: Purpose and principles

Is this the same as altitudes?

your commitments are reviewed at different levels ("altitudes") giving you higher and longer-term perspectives on your life.
