scientific thinking is to admit that you lack a complete understanding of the world
I think that in order to think [[scientifically]], one must admit that their understanding of the world will always be incomplete. This is a way to combat [[ideological]] thinking. Facts that are neatly and easily explained by a totalizing framework usually lack information.
