This is a “mention map” of people and hashtags that I mention on Twitter. You can get your own embed code.
Asterisq is a local Vancouver company that is doing really interesting things with data visualization. Data visualization is an increasingly hot area, going from “neat!” to “wow, I would never have had this insight without seeing it like this”.
The guys at Asterisq are looking for big data sets and partners to work with, so contact them if this sounds interesting. They’ve got a gallery of some other custom implementations of graphs. Bonus points for Drupal integration and also some Facebook integration.

I realize that while this site is connected into [[Anagora]] (but thatβs an instance, so I should be saying [[Agora]] instead?) that I donβt really know how it works! Or what the special features are!
For instance, this post will be imported there, under βmyβ node. How does someone, while writing in their agora, link to [[Agora FAQ]]?
Ideally I donβt want to have to break my flow and go look up a link. So, within some bounds of acceptable markup across different agora engines and their plain text representation in Git, what should this look like?
Footnotes are not (currently) supported. See my [[Goggles]] node in the agora for footnote examples.
Anything whose source is Markdown pages in Git can be imported.
This is clearly a collaborative doc that should probably be an EtherPad linked to the Agora FAQ page

cool
!? Why?
If you can not use public transportation because you have some disability that makes it infeasible, cars are acceptable.
If you can not use public transportation because there is no good public options in your area, that’s infuriating, but acceptable.
If you are in a hurry, I suppose you can drive, but consider that you could be getting work done while you commute on a train/bus.
If you can not use transportation because you have some wierd route, consider not having a wierd route. No, for real. Many of us are working remotely, live where you want to live man.
They are simply a lesser evil. WSJ has a great article on the subject: https://www.wsj.com/graphics/are-electric-cars-really-better-for-the-environment/

But, most critisizims of cars still apply. I outline these issues below, but
Yeah, probably. In urban environments everywhere is reachable by trains often, but out there it gets harder.
Yeah, we acknowledge there are valid reasons to own a car, as long as you wish you don’t not need to own a car your welcome here!
We think trees are pretty cool.
From the Github README:
Logseq is a local-first, non-linear, outliner notebook for organizing and sharing your personal knowledge base.
Use it to organize your todo list, to write your journals, or to record your unique life.
The server will never store or analyze your private notes. Your data are plain text files and we currently support both Markdown and Emacs Org mode (more to be added soon).
In the unlikely event that the website is down or cannot be maintained, your data is, and will always be yours.
Logseq is hugely inspired by [[Roam Research]], [[Org Mode]], [[TiddlyWiki]] and [[Workflowy]], hats off to all of them!
Not currently open source, although they say they will release it.

Logseq is a hypertext enabled tool for knowledge workers that allows block-based referencing, a la [[Roam Research]]. Their aim is to be a privacy-first, open-source knowledge base, built in outliner form.
Logseq visually looks like Roam, as well. A community of developers has begun building on advanced features into the ecosystem.
